Club Runs

Before attending any rides, please read our "code of conduct" and "preparation for a ride" pages

Leaders guidelines here

There is a choice of rides on each of the weekend days, allowing people to choose a ride suited to their ability and have an enjoyable day out that is within their limits. For details of off-road rides please see the off-road page.

Saturdays:

0830 Meet Summerhill, Kingswinford, on road, 35 miles, 2 hours, brisk, e-mail for information. Same route every week, details here. Experienced riders only.

Sundays:

0830 brisk speed. Meet: corner of Stourbridge ring road & Hagley Road. On road, 50 - 60 miles (16mph), mainly quiet lanes; e-mail for information. The 0830 group page and calendar can be seen here.

0900 touring speed. Corner of Stourbridge ring road & Hagley Road. On road, 40 miles touring ride (12mph), e-mail for information.

Summer training rides:
Meet Summerhill lights, Cot Lane Kingswinford. 6.30pm every Tuesday except the first of each month because the club time trial runs instead. 1.5 hours local roads towards Pattingham. Average speed approx 21mph and is higher during the intense part of the ride. No waiting for stragglers.

Thursday night winter training rides: meet outside Lidl, bottom of Brettle Lane. 1.5 hours on local roads as a "co-operative training ride".

Note the following safety guidelines which must be observed:

ALL riders must wear predominantly white or yellow or Stourbridge CC club jerseys - this is for the safety of the whole group and makes us much more visible under sodium street lights.
ALL riders must have working lights - including 2 rear lights (every week someone’s back light fails, this ensures there is always a backup) and a hard shell helmet.
Speed is a brisk training pace, but the ride is a 'co-operative training ride', not a race, and disruptive riding will not be appreciated! Whilst we try and accommodate as wide a range of abilities as is reasonable, we don't wait for riders who are really out of their depth.
All are welcome, including non-club members, as long as you follow the guidelines above.
